Liverpool v Burnley Football Betting

Premier League Betting & Odds

Premier League Match Betting Overview

A full crowd at Anfield is always special, the first full crowd at Anfield since pre-lockdown? It’s going to be magnificent. After both teams’ openers last week, Liverpool will be looking to build on a great start after defeating newcomers, Norwich, 3-0.

Mo Salah and Robert Firminho got their first goals of the season, whilst Diogo Jota picked up where he left off before injury last season, by scoring the opener. More of the same will be expected by the trio, with Sadio Mane inevitably joining them on the score and assist sheet at some point.

For Burnley, they suffered a disappointing home defeat to Brighton. They started perfectly, with an early goal from James Tarkowski, but the usually resolute Burnley defence allowed Brighton two late second-half goals to take all three points.

Who will come out on top this week?

Liverpool Betting

Norwich and Burnley represent a kind start for Jurgen Klopp’s men, so once again they are heavily expected to get a result here, which could include a decent goal haul for the second successive game.

Once again, the likes of Virgil Van Dyke, Diogo Jota, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are expected to be in the line-up after all had long injury stretches last season, and their forward line options remain at full strength. Could Liverpool be back this season?

Burnley Betting

For Sean Dyche’s men, they too have a pretty much full-strength squad to compete with Liverpool. Ben Mee and James Tarkowski will be key to stopping Liverpool’s lethal front three, whilst at the other end of the pitch, Dwight McNeil could be their weapon in creating goals for Chris Wood and James Rodriguez.

Although Liverpool are considerable favourites here, Burnley did beat Liverpool in this fixture last season, so they should not be discounted entirely.

Liverpool’s front three were firing in their opener against Norwich, so the goals betting markets could be a popular option for punters in this fixture.
